Rocky Mountain Conservatory offers pre-professional ballet summer intensives in Colorado designed for dedicated dancers seeking focused technical growth, artistic development, and performance experience.
Our summer programs provide structured classical ballet training in a supportive yet challenging environment, welcoming students from early childhood through advanced levels.
Whether your dancer is preparing for year-round training, competitions, or future auditions, our summer intensives offer a strong foundation and meaningful progress.

Audition is required for this level, particularly for students outside of Rocky Mountain Conservatory. Video auditions are accepted.

Junior Ballet Intensive
7+ Years
For younger dancers ready to deepen their technical foundation.
Program highlights:

This program supports young dancers transitioning toward more structured ballet training.
Choose one or two consecutive weeks.
No audition is required for this level.

Fairy Tales Summer Program
3+ Years
A joyful introduction to ballet for early childhood ages.
Includes:
• Creative movement
• Musical exploration
• Story-based ballet classes
• Age-appropriate structure and fun
Perfect for dancers just beginning their ballet journey.
Choose one or two or three consecutive weeks
Each Friday from 11:00–12:00, parents are invited to a short in-studio showing to see what students have learned during the week

Frequently Asked Questions
Do students need to audition?
Placement is based on age, experience, and instructor recommendation. Advanced and Intermediate levels (already on pointe) require evaluation. We recommend to attend our Summer Intensive Audition.
Do you accept video auditions?
Yes. Video auditions are accepted and may be used for placement when an in-person audition is not possible. Please email us for more information.
How many hours per day is the intensive?
Hours vary by program and level. Detailed schedules are listed in each program section.
Is pointe required?
Pointe is included only for dancers who are technically ready and already approved for pointe work - Advanced and Intermediate levels..
Can students attend more than one week?
Yes — many dancers enroll in multiple weeks for deeper progress.
Is there a performance?
Select programs include an in-studio presentation or performance experience, details are given in Program Details Section.
